BWM Ltd are continuously involved with a variety of Private and Public-Sector clients in refurbishment and regeneration schemes bringing life into old buildings or enhancing tired buildings of all shapes and sizes. This work varies from retail, education, offices & healthcare to mixed use schemes, many of which include major new build extensions together with significant remodelling, cut and carve of existing buildings.
With a drive for saving our buildings from an environment and Planning perspective we understand the need to be sympathetic to the historic fabric together with specialised design requirements to incorporate the old with the new. Our extensive experience with both historic and modern structures has taught us which solutions work best, and our understanding of both new and old construction greatly assists the design and construction teams. From the outset, our Team gain a complete understanding of the existing building, load-paths and limitations to allow us to adequately advise the Client and Architect on the proposed layouts.

Another aspect of BWM ‘s experience in this area is Vertical Extensions to existing buildings, helping Clients to maximise space/value. These projects vary from lightweight structural framing, timber or more substantial framing with additional supports provided throughout the existing building.

Many of the schemes are Design & Build where BWM Ltd have built up a strong working relationship with all contractors we work with. Our Team understands the site constraints and issues from a contractor’s perspective and work hard with them to provide information in a timely manner to ensure a seamless process.
BWM Ltd are also part of the team that have won the 2017 RICS Regeneration award for Housing.
